  Rezumat:  In the summer of 1947, the communist authorities have aimed (after the falsification of the elections on the 19th of November 1946) another blow at democracy, through the foundation of the most important party of opposition, the National Rural Party. On the basis of the investigations done at the fund of the National Archives, the branch in Bihor County, the author puts into circulation several documents that certify the oppressive measures adopted by the communist authorities against the members and supporters of the National Rural Party. At the same time, the published documents reveal the strong popular support of the National Rural Party.
